So, we found a simple recipes using what we all know as a sweet treat. Pair honey with the one of the following ingredients to make a simple DIY blackhead mask:
- Egg white: mix an egg white and teaspoon of honey and apply to blackheads.
- Oatmeal: mix a tablespoon of ground oatmeal, ½ tablespoon of honey and an egg white and apply to blackheads.
- Almonds: mix a teaspoon of crushed almonds and honey to make a paste and apply to blackheads.
- Sea salt: mix a teaspoon of raw honey and a pinch of sea salt and exfoliate the skin.

Refreshing Face Mask & Blackhead Scrub
Refresh your face and scrub away those blackheads with a quick, three-ingredient recipe. This mask and scrub is great for cleansing, moisturizing and soften your pores. The ingredients below are specifically great for removing the excess oil that builds up on your face and create blackheads.
The ingredients include:
- 1 tbsp ground oatmeal
- 1 tsp orange peel powder
- 2 tsp yogurt
The oatmeal in this recipe will absorb the oils on your face, while the orange peel powder exfoliates and the yogurt nourishes the skin. What could be better than this 3-in-1 deal?!

- 2 tbsp unscented liquid castile soap
- 1 tbsp almond, jojoba, apricot kernel or vitamin E oil
- 2 tbsp finely ground brown or white rice flour
- 1 tbsp baking soda
- 2 tsp activated charcoal
To start, stir the soap and oil, then add the rice flour, baking soda and activated charcoal. Note that the mixture might bubble a little, but continue to stir until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Transfer the mixture to an airtight container and store in a cool place.
Before using this mixture as a scrub, dampen your face. Then, take 1-2 teaspoons of the scrub and gently apply to the face in small, circular motions. If you’re using it as a mask, let the scrub sit on your face for a few minutes and then rinse it off with lukewarm water.
